Collaborative Development of the “Garden in School” Model
As part of a newly signed agreement, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH-VNUHCM) and U&I Agricultural Corporation will jointly implement the “University–Enterprise Integrated Garden” project on the university’s campus in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan – Rector of USSH-VNUHCM – shared that this collaboration aims to create agricultural models within the university, contributing to a greener, more sustainable campus. Additionally, the project will provide students with hands-on experiences and opportunities to explore the “humanistic aspects” of agriculture. This includes perspectives on healing agriculture, high-tech agriculture, and agro-tourism.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan also noted that in recent times, USSH-VNUHCM has carried out various cooperation activities with Binh Duong Province to apply scientific research results to real-life practice. With the support of local authorities, the university’s partnerships with enterprises in Binh Duong have grown stronger and more effective.

As part of the launch event, representatives participated in a ceremonial tree planting at the University–Enterprise Integrated Garden.
Leveraging its strength as a leading company in the agricultural sector, U&I Agricultural Corporation will provide technical consultation and solutions to help USSH-VNUHCM develop sustainable and innovative agricultural models on campus.
Mr. Pham Quoc Liem – CEO and Chairman of the Board of U&I Agricultural Corporation – expressed that through this partnership and the development of “garden in school” models, the company hopes to inspire a love for agriculture among students.
According to Mr. Pham Quoc Liem, this initiative also offers students an opportunity to explore the agricultural sector while still in school, thereby contributing to the development of a skilled workforce for agriculture and related industries.
